On the first day, you will arrive Helsinki and check-in at the hotel on your own. After check-in, you may take a break and have a restful evening on the first night.

On the second day, you will have a guided Helsinki city highlight tour by tram – our city transportation. You will visit the most must-not-miss spots, including the Helsinki Cathedral, Senate Square, Rock Church, Sibelius Park, Olympic Stadium, Market Square, Market Hall, Esplanandi Park, etc. After a short lunch break, you will take a round-trip ferry to Suomenlinna, the Finnish sea fortress, and have a guided walking tour there.

In the evening, you will take a direct inter-city night train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. You will comfortably rest in the sleep cabin. You may also enjoy dinner in the dinning compartment of the train during the journey.

On the third day, after arrival to Rovaniemi, you will be picked-up and transferred to your accommodation. Then you guide will pick you up from hotel lobby and take you to the Sant Claus Village. You will meet the Santa and take a picture with him. An official picture with Santa is guaranteed in this tour and serves as an exclusive offer. You will have lunch in the Santa Claus Village and you will have the chance to cross the Arctic Circle and receive a certificate for it!.

At night, your aurora hunt guide will take you deep into the Arctic nature and away from the light pollution of city centre area. We will drive to the places that are more promising and would offer a better chance to see this natural phenomenon. During the tour, your guide will always check the evolution of the weather conditions. As this excursion is a 4h aurora hunt, you may get the chance to visit up to 3 locations and increase your chance to observe the aurora!

The last day is the free moments just for you. Before the departure, spend some time walk on the street of Rovaniemi, the biggest city in the Lapland, and feel the vibration of the Nordic atmosphere.

Please note choose ONLY ONE activity during the booking process. The options are as following:

  • Extra personal photo with Santa Claus is possible by paying extra fee
  • In the Santa Claus Village, the duration in peak season may be longer due to longer queuing time and vice versa
  • The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon that depends on the climate and solar wind activity, and its visibility can not be guaranteed.
  • Minimum age of passengers is: 4 for aurora hunt tour. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Hotel pickups commence between 5 and 30 minutes prior to the start time. Please note that the departure time mentioned on your ticket is for information only. We will confirm you the departure time (and the pickup/meeting time) in the morning by email. Every morning, we examine the latest weather reports and the aurora forecasts, we assess the chance and make the plan accordingly. We may then adapt the start time to the weather conditions in order to increase our chance to observe the Northern Lights. Please check your emails (and the SPAM folder!) so that you do not miss the information about weather conditions and pick up time.
  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
  • Each snowmobile is shared by 2 guests taking turns in driving. Solo driving please choose the Sole Driving.
  • The driver of the snowmobile has to be at least 18 years of age with a driver’s license valid in Finland.
  • Driving a motorised vehicle under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating drugs is prohibited by the laws of Finland.
  • Self liability of snowmobile safari can be reduced to 150 € by paying waiver supplement 15 € per safari driver.

What do I need to bring?

  • IMPORTANT! Remember to bring your valid driving license (or a photo copy) with you on the day of the trip if you choose Snowmobile Safari as the activity.
  • Please make sure your phone is ON during the tour day.
  • Printed booking confirmation and e-tickets both are accepted.
  • We recommend you wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
  • In the summer, the weather may change rapidly. It is good to bring a light coat or a cardigan and an umbrella just in case.
  • In winter time, warm winter clothes with scarf and hat is recommended as the temperature can be as low as -35 Celsius degrees.
  • It is recommended that you have a travel insurance because in the very unlikely event of an accident the health care costs may be high.

Cancellation policy

  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 2 days or less before event
  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 6 days or less before event
  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 0% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before event
